FAQ
Get your pet ready to travel
How far in-advance should I start preparing the paperwork?
Some of the paperwork can take up to 6 months to prepare, so we recommend you to begin planning sooner rather than later.
Will one set of paperwork work for every country, or do rules change by destination?
Rules change by destination.
Do I need import permits or special permissions for my pet to enter another country?
Some countries require import permits and special permissions before your pet enters the country.
What’s a pet passport, and do I need one?
The EU has a pet passport, which ONLY EU veterinarians can sign in the EU. Once a vet outside the EU signs it, the passport is no longer considered valid. Other countries have vaccine books.
Can I travel if my pet’s vaccinations aren’t up to date?
No, most countries require a 15-digit ISO microchip and full vaccines.
