Terms And Conditions For Transporting Pet.

These terms and conditions for transporting Pet(s) are accepted by the Client of Pet Adventures to include the following:

Pet Relocation Services:

The quotation or estimate is based on the height, length, width, and weight of the pet/s or dimensions of your travel container/s, provided by the owner or their representative. If the incorrect pet information is provided, or if there is an increase in weight or the size of the pet or travel container, extra freight charges are at the owner’s expense.

The quotation provided is based in part on information supplied by the customer. Pet Adventures and/or their agents cannot be held responsible for any miscalculation based on incorrect information supplied by the customer. Pet Adventures services are provided on an inclusive package basis, should part of the included services not be utilised by the client the fee remains the same.

All quotations are provided in good faith based on information available at the time of quoting. Air Cargo rates are based on daily demand when booked, so please be aware that the prices can vary at the point of confirmation (usually 7 days prior to travel). Where possible we absorb minor cost fluctuations and monitor all factors for your move. Where freight costs have increased significantly, we will keep you abreast of developments and costs in a timely manner in order to facilitate safe travel for your pet/s.

Our handling charges in this quotation are valid for 14 days unless changes outside of Pet Adventures direct control impact on the quotation. All extra costs are at the pet owner’s expense.

All fees and costs quoted by Pet Adventures are exclusive of VAT, card, and banking fees. Details of these surcharges (if any) are available in our payment instructions that can be provided by your consultant.

Pet Adventures / their agents accept no responsibility for inconvenience or extra costs incurred by the rescheduling/cancellation/delay of flights/airline surcharges / increased airfreight costs applied by the airlines and any other situation of which is outside of their control.

Pet Adventures bears no responsibility or liability for any accident and/or damage incurred to the pet or third parties, including but not limited to death or injury to the pet, veterinary fees, legal expenses, or other costs incurred.

All original health documentation must be passed to the airline at check-in or to our agent upon collection. If the vet preparation and health documents have been arranged by the owner/shipper, Pet Adventures is not responsible for refusal by the airline due to incorrect or missing paperwork. Pet Adventures will require copies of all relevant veterinary/ health paperwork prior to departure. ADI will have no liability, in any event, the Pet cannot meet health conditions because of non-compliance or inadequate implementation of measures or taking action out of consultation of ADI.

All pets must check in four hours prior to departure. Unless Pet Adventures is arranging transport, it is the owner’s/ shipper’s responsibility to ensure that the pet/ pets are delivered to the airline at the correct time. Pet Adventures is not responsible for refusal by the airline due to late check-in. Pet Adventures is not responsible for any airline delays or flight cancellations that may cause your pet/ pets to miss the flight. Any additional costs incurred as a result of flight delays or cancelations are to be paid by the shipper/ owner unless the airline has agreed to absorb these costs. We are not responsible for additional costs incurred due to circumstances that are beyond our control, whilst we will do our best to ensure your pet/s travel as booked, situations can occur which we have no control over.

The client undertakes to understand and comply with the terms and conditions clearly stated herein for the Pet transport service. Violations and omissions that are not remedied after giving notice or instruction would lead to termination of the Pet transport service without refund.

Payment terms:

An upfront deposit of at least 50% or full amount is required on confirmation, using one of these payment methods: credit card or bank transfer to the bank account details provided. In the case of partial payment, the outstanding amount is required to be paid at least 31 days prior to the pet departure.

The parties acknowledge that the transport service will be cancelled without any refund in case Pet Adventures does not receive payment by the scheduled date.

Insurance:

Insurance activities or insurance charges (by the policy of the destination country) for the Pet are not included in the Pet transport service. The client is responsible for considering the necessary conditions and purchase of insurance as they deem fit.

Modification:

Once you and your Pet Adventures consultant have confirmed the departure date, usually 14-21 days in advance of travel, any changes to this date are complicated and costly. If you request to change the date of travel after confirmation a $500 charge will be levied to cover the additional time, management, and paperwork processing incurred.

If your move is on hold for longer than 3 months, then it will be deemed cancelled and any further movement will be subject to be re-quoted. The funds paid to us will be available to be applied, in full, towards one instance of a re-quoted move for the subsequent 3 months. At this stage should you choose to cancel or postpone the move then our standard cancellation policy applies.

If your move is delayed for 6 months or longer following initial travel date confirmation then it will be deemed cancelled and any amount paid to us will no longer be available to apply towards any future moves and will be non-refundable.

Responsibilities:

Pet Adventures only provides guidelines regarding the health requirements unless stated otherwise. For all checked baggage and door-to-port moves, the onus is on you to contact the Governing Authorities of your country of destination for the up-to-date regulations. Pet Adventures cannot be held responsible for any requirements not followed as instructed by the authorities.

All Kennels must be compliant with current airline regulations. If the cage provided by the customer is the incorrect size for the pet according to IPATA guidelines then Pet Adventures has the right to either change to the correct size crate, in which case the additional cost for the crate and airfreight will be paid by the customer, or refuse to transport the animal without liability and all payment will be forfeited if the customer declines to change the crate. If a pet is refused travel at check-in due to an unsuitable travel kennel any additional costs incurred are to be paid by the owner/ shipper.

The rules and requirements for pets entering certain countries can sometimes change without prior notice, whilst Pet Adventures will endeavour to ensure that our records are kept up to date, we are not responsible for last-minute changes made by destination countries and third parties which could cause delay to your pet/ pet’s travel. Upon arrival at their destination, your pet/ pets will need to be cleared through customs. Customs’ opening/ closing times may change without prior notice, Pet Adventures is not responsible for any alterations to opening/ closing times, which may result in a change to your pet booking.

It is your responsibility to ensure that all of the details on your travel documents are correct and to bring to our attention any errors or discrepancies immediately. Your travel documents are valuable and should be safeguarded as if they were cash. It is not always possible to replace travel documents in the case of loss, theft, damage, etc.

For In-Cabin travel, we recommend prior to booking that you review any Government prohibitions, warnings, and advisories applicable to your destinations, including regulations involving pet quarantines and restrictions in entering a country with your pet.

Cancelation:

Deposits are non-refundable. Cancellations made 31 days or less from the target date of travel are not eligible for any refund of payments made. If a booking is made less than 31 days prior to the target date of travel, the cancelation policy does not apply, and all payment is non-refundable.

In the event of shipment cancellation for any reason, Pet Adventures reserves the right to charge for any work completed up to point of cancellation. This may include but not be limited to Kennels, Obtaining Licenses/ Permits, Visits to the Vets, transportation, professional time-based fees (charged at $85/hour), etc.

In the event that due to force-majeure Pet Adventures advises you that travel is no longer possible due to changes in prevailing regulations you may select one of the following options:

a. Cancel your move and receive a refund of the total amount paid, less $1000 cancellation fee and any out-of-pocket disbursements and fees, including professional time (charged at $85/hour).

b. Place your move on hold for up to 3 months without any date change fees applied. As far as possible we will do our best to honour the quoted price, however, if there are increases to airline freight and/or customs processing fees these will be required to be paid by you prior to us carrying out the move. Refusal to pay these fees as advised will result in the cancellation of the move without a refund.

Privacy Policy:

The information gathered will only be used to respond to you and/or make arrangements for the transport of your pets. We will not share your information with any third party other than as necessary to fulfil your request for pet travel services.

Unless you opt-out, we may contact you in the future to tell you about specials, new products or services, or changes to this privacy policy.

We take precautions to protect your information. When you submit sensitive information your information is protected both online and offline. Only employees who need the information to perform the transport of your pet are granted access to personally identifiable information. Online payment methods are secure. The computers/servers in which we store personally identifiable information are kept in a secure environment.
